A great day

Mom took me to the baseball field today to chase the tennis ball.





You probably can't see the great grooming job I had last week. But I am all clean and spunky.



Someone had left some dog food in the ball field and I found it right away. It as a yummy treat. Anything but my regular dog food tastes sooo good.



I did have to stop and rest in the shade on our way home. We've had great weather here lately. The humidity is gone and we've had great cool nights. It's good to turn off the airconditioning so I can smell all those doggies walking by

Good News

Good news! Papa is out of the hospital and at home. The drugs are helping him to get better and killing all those parasites in his blood. Hurray for modern medicine!! He is not out of the woods yet, but is on the road to recovery.



Here I am enjoying my lambie! My mom didn't take pictures of her chewed up earphones -- the third pair I have gone through in as many weeks. When will she learn to close her purse and keep it out of my reach?!!! And she blames me. How can I expect to resist such temptation?!

Babesia or Babesiosis

I have to rest up from all the excitement this weekend. Mommy ran in a 5K, The Hennepin Lake Classic, on Sunday. She used to run alot but then got lazy for about 18 years. So this was the first 5K she ran in 18 years! Woowoo! Then she found out that her Dad (my Papa) was in the hospital. He had been very sick with a high fever for over a week and they didn't know what was wrong with him. He had very low platelets and white blood cells. He finally found out yesterday that he has Babesia. It is a parasitic blood infection that he probably got from a woodtick. He doesn't remember ever having a tick, but some of them can be so small you don't see them. The symptoms are very similar to malaria. They gave him plasma to help his blood and started him on some medicine, so we are hoping he gets better very soon. It was very scary.



My new thing lately is jumping in the tub to get drinks of water.



I don't splash at all. I just drink

Cousins' One Year Birthday Party

It was my cousins' first birthday today. We celebrated yesterday at a park with all sorts of friends. This is Harrison and Christopher. Now we are all one year old!



Their Mommy and Daddy got special cakes just for them!!



And they let them each have a half of a cake!!! Woowoo!! You go boys!
